About The Rev. James

I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, where my father was a Methodist Minister. After a 10-year career in publishing, I went to seminary where I obtained two degrees. I spent the next 20 years in Parish Ministry as an Episcopal Priest. Following the death of my wife in 2003, I retired from parish ministry to focus on serving all of God's people and creation.

Unselfish friend always at my side now at my feet

He kisses the hand that offers no food

Guards me in sleep, soothes me from the roughness of the world

Constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens

My noble dog faithful and true even in death.
