FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT

Saying Goodbye and Remembering our Dear Ones

Q: How much notice do you need?

A: I will respond to you immediately and meet you at a mutually agreed to time.

Q: Is the funeral service Christian, Jewish, other?

A: All religious traditions honor pets. I will adapt a service for your spirituality.

Q: Is a pet funeral just like a human funeral?

A: It is very similar with some differences in the readings which emphasize God's love for animals and our relationship to them.

Q: Can the family write eulogies, read poems, say their own prayers etc.?

A: Absolutely: the best pet funerals are those in which the families of the pets participate and make it personal.

Q: Does the funeral have to be in a pet cemetery?

A: No, it can be anywhere you wish. I've done pet funerals in back yards, cemeteries and scattered ashes from a boat.

Q: My pet died some time ago but I didn't know this service was available. Can I have a service now?

A: Yes. Many people hold a service on the anniversary of the pet's birth, death or other important date in the family.

Q: How far will you travel to do a funeral?

A: I will travel as far as you want. However, mutually agreed upon traveling expenses will be added to distances beyond the greater suburban New York area.

Q: How much does it cost.

A: $150 for cremation or a graveside burial.

Q: How do we contact you?

A: Use any of the phone or e-mail contacts below for immediate response.
